Arden Griffins, Division 1 runners-up last season stunned Tile Hill Trojans 1 by coming from behind to land a 77-68 opening-night win over the current champions at Hereward College.

Aylesford Hawks took on newly-promoted Rugby Rage and got their season off to a flier too, to land a tasty victory, as did Tamworth Tigers, when they faced up to Tile Hill Trojans 2 at The Rawlett Centre.

In Division 2, Nuneaton Predators 1 took three points from newcomers Leamington 2 while last night Predators’ second string lost a six point lead in the final two minutes at Trojans 3 and Westwood went down by the narrowest of margins at home to reincarnated Tornadoes.
