Three games and three wins – that is the proud record of the Division One pace-setters Aylesford Hawks and Arden Griffins who lead the way ahead of last season’s champions Tile Hill Trojans 1. Now the fun starts as the pair meet at St. Peter’s School on Thursday and the following Monday Hawks go to Hereward College where Trojans, still smarting after their home loss to Griffins will be waiting. Either Trojans 2 or Warwick China Red will get their first victory when the two go head-to-head on Monday and Tamworth Tigers will be looking to put one over their rivals Rugby Rage next Friday evening.
In Division Two, Westwood Rhinos lead the way but have lost one game, unlike Ernesford Eagles, who visit Nuneaton 1 – also defending a 2-0 record. Coventry Tornadoes join the group with a zero in the loss column while JM Grizzlies, who have played one, won one have two games in three days and will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record.
HAWKS HOME WIN LAST WEEKEND……
Warwickshire Hawks made it two from two as they followed up on their victory over Derby Trailblazers with a ten-point result against University of Wolverhampton in the National League Division Three. Hawks took the first quarter 23-12 but lost the second by two. They then moved away in the third and were led home by Matt Yates (22 points) and Tom Edwards (15).
