INJURY STOPS GAME IN OVERTIME!

Warwick China Red’s home game with Leamington Spartans was called off by the match officials with just one and a half minutes of overtime remaining due to a serious shoulder injury to a home player.

Full time had arrived at 55-55 and with time running out China Red led 64-61 when the accident happened and an ambulance was called to deal with a dislocated shoulder. THE BEAR FACTS  understands there is no lasting damage and the player was sent home after treatment. There was disappointment when two other fixtures were postponed for various reasons, but one game, at Hereward College went ahead and the resulting victory was a runaway for Tamworth Tigers for whom Lukasz Bolda hit 43 and who slammed Tile Hill Trojans 2 who had three of their starters missing. In Division Two Coventry Tornadoes bounced back with a home win over Westwood Rhinos for whom Jack Ford added another EIGHT three-pointers to his already impressive tally. Nuneaton Predators 2 Coach Lloyd Taylor has had special permission to postpone his next two games to deal with internal problems within the side, but his first team went to Leamington and slammed  Spartans 2,, while Ernesford Eagles will host Team Rebels tonight at Grace Academy.
