NUNEATON INTO CHALLENGE CUP SEMIS…

Nuneaton Predators, without a win all season in the league edged into the semi-finals of The
Challenge Cup with a seven-point aggregate win over Team Rebels.
Both Tamworth Tigers and Rugby Rage have joined them along with Westwood Rhinos who
completed the “double” over Ernesford Eagles last night.
In the Bob Castledine Memorial Cup, Coventry Tornadoes became the first team to qualify
with a double victory over Cracovia Stratford, as Tile Hill Trojans1, despite having several men out,
coasted to a big victory over Trojans 2 who were also robbed of the services of some of their players.
Holders Arden Griffins, who slipped to defeat at Warwick China Red in the first leg have to wait a
further week to see if they can overcome the students. Their clash was postponed when St Peter’s was
declared unavailable. However, another side through is Coventry College who, despite being beaten on
the night, had just enough to get past Warwick University
